Experience school day in countryside, Taiwan

Since May, 2015, we had some foreign guests to visit our school. They spent sometime with students, sharing cultures with one another. Students became more interested in languages, connecting foreign cultures with Taiwanese tradition. I believe the more inspiration they receive, the more imagination they will have.

About our school

The school Guogao (過溝) situated near coastal line of Chiayi, literally in Chinese a ditch divided into two township. Nearly 1000 residents live at this village. The elder pry on oysters, farming, fishing work.... There are about 250 students in total. The school is tiny, number of students are small too, every student is very closer to teachers.

Who am I?
I'm Hong Yu(宏育) It's fine to call me Zack. As a person growing up in Taipei, I had about 3000 students in my junior high. Many were under pressure merely for achieving their good academic performance. While I was working here for civil service, I found great difference between city and countryside. Our school encouraged students to participated a variety of extracurricular activities. They enjoyed playing football, playing the music, exploring farming area...etc.  Maybe you'll somehow get some inspiration like me...

WHAT CAN WE DO TOGETHER?
I have an club for cultural exchange on Tuesday. It'd be better we have some interactive game. If you'd like to share with your hobby, such as dancing, singing, language or tradition of your country. Our students will prepare some shows in return.

It's volunteer work but we do provide lunch and ticket fair from Chiay city center to our school. ( It's around 210$ NT.) Don't miss a chance to visit our school :) I'll also give you personal tour as picture depicted
